I worked as the sound recordist and sound designer for this atmospheric short film. The story explores the weight of unrequited love, focusing on a protagonist who catches feelings for a friend in a relationship that ultimately means more to them than the other.
To match the film’s stylised tone, I used creative sound design to fluidly transition between flashbacks and reality. I also edited the titular track, ‘Only You’, reshaping the song’s structure to fit the exact pacing and narrative shifts happening on screen. On location, recording clean footsteps on a noisy beach proved a challenge, which I solved by recording them later as foley.
